Prayers for Haiti...
Information and ways to help Haiti visit www.google.com/relief/haitiearthquake/
I was working away today trying to catch up with everything with the holidays finally being over, and many projects on the go, report dues ect... almost even feeling frazzled by it all ...and then I get an email from Salwan .. yes it made me stop and pray. I would like to share with you his message...
Hello Friends,
Sorry to bother you but it is urgent...you know what happened hours ago in Haiti...
Let us spiritually join today/tonight even for few minutes to pray for the victims and families of the victims in Haiti that was struck by a disastrous earthquake leaving many people in the open facing harsh cold winter nights, and many others probably still alive but under debris!!!..I received this call for online joint prayers from my dear friend LuAnn Hunt and would like you to join us in this effort despite the fact that we are all busy...I also know that some people don't believe in the spiritual power of prayers or in spiritual world...I understand and respect all your beliefs but still I believe it is a great thing to, even for several minutes, remember other brothers and sisters in humanity who are in pain today...
May God bless you all...Thanks in advance...

I felt his prayers in this letter ... so I took the time to send prayers to Haiti.
I took my old photo album out and revisit Haiti as I saw it in 1980. It was my first trip abroad exactly 30 years ago at this time. It was also the first time I did not see snow for Christmas and New Years. I had gone for one month with my uncle and his wife and friend. I was most fortunate to have experiences this trip in such a unique way. My uncle is an architect and he was scouting out land with my fiancee at the time. We did not spend this trip like a tourist, we lived with the people, in a hunt (well barely, a roof and two walls). But had the best trip ever! I was really touched by the people, their stories and the land, the culture.
Needless to say that after I did take the time to pray for others , somehow I was able to work in much more peace afterwords.
Namaste
